Earlier, patta documents showed only the current owner, making it difficult for buyers to verify historic ownership or past disputes. Buyers had to depend on the Encumbrance Certificate alone — which tracks only registration transactions, not revenue-record transfers.
To remove this gap and strengthen due diligence, the state has now introduced an official patta-history layer.
