Sameera Group has announced a proposed industrial and logistics park at Singadivakkam village in the Sriperumbudur–Kanchipuram industrial belt. The project will provide around 4.5 lakh sq ft of space for manufacturing, storage and goods distribution.
The company has announced an investment of approximately ₹150 crore for the development. News reports place the estimated cost between ₹150 crore and ₹170 crore.
Proposed Park to Cover Around 16 Acres
The project is planned across approximately 16 acres. It will serve light manufacturing companies, online shopping businesses and logistics firms that handle storage and delivery for other businesses.
The company plans to develop and lease the facilities to business users. This approach allows it to earn rental income while retaining ownership of the property.
Building Plan Approvals Secured
According to Sameera Group, building plan approvals are in place. Reports indicate that the construction tendering process is under way, with work expected to begin after contractors are appointed.
The company estimates a development period of 12–15 months. However, a fixed opening date has not been announced. Discussions with a prospective tenant were reportedly under way, but a lease had not been finalised at the time of reporting.
Facilities Planned at the Industrial Park
The development is being planned as a Grade A industrial and logistics park, meaning modern business premises designed for efficient manufacturing, storage and movement of goods.
Proposed features include:
- Rooftop solar readiness.
- Rainwater harvesting.
- Wastewater recycling.
- Energy and water monitoring.
- Electric vehicle charging facilities.
- Internal roads and shared infrastructure for vehicle movement.
The company is also pursuing IGBC Platinum green-building certification. This is a target, and certification has not been announced as awarded.
Sameera’s Existing Warehousing Presence in Tamil Nadu
Sameera Group already has a warehousing business under Sameera Warehousing. Its official website lists a presence in Enathur, Chengalpet, Madurai, Hosur and Kancheepuram.
The facilities such as round-the-clock security, electricity and water supply, firefighting systems and truck terminals are being proposed for the project. However, it does not provide separate completion dates, occupancy details or operating capacity for each listed location.
The proposed Singadivakkam project adds to this existing warehousing presence in Tamil Nadu. Its location within the Sriperumbudur–Kanchipuram industrial belt places it near established manufacturing businesses that require space for production, storage and distribution.
